With a diverse and rich ecosystem and charming and peaceful landscape, Ban Viet Lake, Phong Chau commune (Thong Khanh) is one of the attractive destinations that tourists cannot miss. Coming here, visitors can not only admire a beautiful and enchanting ink painting but also discover the interesting life of highland people.

With its poetic beauty, Ban Viet Lake is like a green mirror amidst thousands of mountains, each season contributing vivid and colorful beauty to the natural picture.

Ban Viet Lake is known as the largest artificial lake in Cao Bang, with a total area of about 5 hectares, divided into 4 branches and surrounded by mountains and vegetation. The lake is located only about 3km from Ban Gioc waterfall and 70km from Cao Bang city center.

The ecosystem around the lake is diverse and rich, creating a vivid, colorful but no less poetic natural picture.

The ideal time to visit the lake is probably in winter. At this time, the red maple leaves make the scene look like a temperate maple forest in Europe.

When the weather turns to spring, Ban Viet Lake seems to put on a new coat as young leaves sprout. In the distance, the rows of Sau Sau trees have lost their leaves as if adding to the poetic and peaceful picture of nature.

The lake's surface is clear and blue and the sky is high with drifting white clouds, creating a stunningly beautiful landscape picture. The lake appears like a giant mirror, surrounded by deep green forests that have just changed their new color, embracing the lake surface.

The sunset shines rays of sunlight onto the dim jade green lake surface, creating sparkling rays of light. It feels extremely wonderful when sailing along the emerald green water, inhaling the fresh, pleasant air and temporarily putting aside all the worries and worries of everyday life.

From the high roads, visitors can admire the panoramic view of the poetic Ban Viet Lake amidst the mountains and forests. The closer you get, the more that beauty touches people's hearts. This is a destination not to be missed for tourists who love to experience picnicking, camping, and trekking activities.
