Binh Thuan is in the rainy season, sea tourism encounters many barriers. La Ngau Stream is the right choice for guests who love slow travel and want to "disconnect" from the bustling place.

May-October is the rainy season in Binh Thuan, also the time of summer tourism. The locality is famous for its beautiful beaches, but sea tourism will be limited due to the weather. Outdoor activities are temporarily postponed until the rain stops.

However, in addition to the sea, the central region also has streams hidden under the dense forest canopy. La Ngau is one of them. Beside the stream, there is also a camping area in the form of service or self-sufficiency. Visitors can both camp and watch the rain and the beauty of the stream.

Suoi La Ngau is still unspoiled, rated by many visitors as "one of the most beautiful streams in the Central region". "La Ngau is beautiful in every season, whether it's dry season or rainy season," commented Khai Hoang (living in Tanh Linh, Binh Thuan).

                         True wilderness, no Internet.

Campers have known for about three years now. 2016 was the first time this young man knew about the stream. Returning 7 years later, this area began to be exploited by people, deploying various types of camping services. However, La Ngau is still wild, without Internet and electricity. People living in this area mainly use solar power.

A tourist from Ho Chi Minh City who came here to camp at the beginning of the year said that the reason this area has not had access to Internet cable or electricity because of the location. located deep in the forest, plus people's life is still difficult, there are not many conditions to connect. Phone signal is also intermittent. For some visitors who really want to disconnect from the world and focus on themselves, the absence of the Internet is an interesting point.

Since La Ngau began to be interested by tourists, many tourists have seized the opportunity to come to this area to buy land and do camping business. Local people also rent out related services, for visitors who need to camp on their own.

Specifically, there are two types of camping at La Ngau stream. One is that tourists choose tent business establishments with a variety of prices, from a few hundred thousand dong to more than one million dong a day. The second is that tourists pay for the parking lot when entering the fields of local people, then camp on their own. The rental price is 50,000 VND/motorcycle and 100,000 VND/car. In addition, the landowner also rents out tables and chairs if visitors have a need.

However, for the second type, visitors must equip all necessary tools for camping. Moreover, the field is wild, so there will be no toilets.

                                    How to move?

From HCMC, tourists take the highway to Phan Thiet (Binh Thuan). Then move about 30 km more on National Highway 1A, towards Ham Thuan Nam to reach the service campsites in La Ngau. This is an area explored by tourists for business purposes, so the road is not too difficult.

For tourists who prefer to explore nature, self-sufficient camping will continue to move deep into the forest. , find/rent a beach or walk straight upstream of La Nga River. The road is somewhat more difficult to go, but in return visitors can enjoy the scenery on both sides of the river.

According to Mr. Tran Tri (living in Duc Linh, Binh Thuan), next to La Nga River there is an area for tourists to explore, which people call cornfield. However, the road to this place is quite difficult. “Only motorbikes or two-wheelers can move stably and overcome obstacles,” said this person.

Representative of La Ngau Camping, a camping business in this area, said La Ngau has two streams, temporarily called the natural branch and the hydroelectric branch (Ham Thuan - Da Mi).

In the hydroelectric branch, after 4 p.m., the hydroelectricity discharges water, the water rises, affecting the camping experience of tourists. visitors, sometimes leading to landslides. In the natural branch, this situation does not occur.

The water level in the stream is quite low, about below knee level. However, in the rainy season and when the hydroelectric power discharges water, visitors can consider staying in a tent. In addition, heavy rain prolongs the risk of flash floods, making trekking activities difficult and even dangerous for participants.
