Obama rock beach, located near Linh Ung pagoda on Son Tra peninsula, is one of the most impressively beautiful rocks and still retains the pristine landscape.
With the terrain as the name suggests, there are many large and small black rocks interspersed, stacked to create very fancy angles.
Why is it called Obama Rock? Someone joked that maybe because the famous black president Obama of the United States had set foot here, Da Nang rock beach got such a name.
According to locals, the name Obama has been around for a long time, before the president of the United States took office, this rock had that name. However, thanks to this coincidence, Obama rock is more known to tourists.
Previously, this unspoiled rocky beach had not been "discovered", so only people living nearby came and went fishing.
Now, Obama rock beach has become a "virtual living paradise, a very hot check-in point" of Da Thanh youth and tourists, especially in the summer.
