(GLO)- Talking about the waterfall system located in Kon Chu Rang Nature Reserve (Kbang district, Gia Lai province), almost everyone knows about the magnificent 50 waterfall. However, there is an equally attractive waterfall here that makes travelers not want to move their feet. That is Moss Waterfall.

Starting from the city. Pleiku to Kbang district center, it took us more than 2 hours for the nearly 100 km journey. From the district town, travel more than 60 km to reach Kon Chu Rang Nature Reserve (in Son Lang commune). From this location, our group's journey to explore the forest landscape began.

Accompanying us are Mr. Tran Quang Hung and Mr. Dinh Van Thua (forest protection management staff). Because there was little time, Mr. Hung advised the group to travel by motorbike from the Reserve headquarters in the direction of Dak Bla Forest Protection Management Station, a distance of about more than 7 km. The motorbike journey traveled through a small dirt road through the forest, quite bumpy and slippery due to the damp soil and thick leaf cover underneath. After that, we continued walking about 500 meters to reach the top of Moss waterfall.

Due to the soil characteristics and stratified climate, this area strongly develops the typical pine tree species. The road was quite easy to walk. Every distance, we could admire the ancient tree trunks rising between heaven and earth. On the way, there is a kind of red flower falling like the afternoon sun, covering the ground, leaving human footprints, making the scene more poetic. The gentle golden sunshine and the cool space amidst the mountain and forest scenery mixed with the sound of laughter and laughter make people's hearts feel more gentle and relaxed.

Our leisurely journey enjoying the scent of the forest was quite easy until we started to reach the Moss waterfall. Before reaching the waterfall, we crossed a small cool stream with many small rocks nestled in the stream bed covered with thick moss, very beautiful. From afar, the sound of running water began to echo and the cool air radiated around, making everyone excited and quick in their steps. The most difficult part of the journey is the part where we cling to the ropes that the guides have tied tightly to large tree stumps to serve as a fulcrum for visitors to climb down the waterfall.

All fatigue seemed to disappear when before our eyes was a beautiful scene. The waterfall flows loudly with quite strong force, from the top of the waterfall spilling down each mossy stone step with white foam. Water jets splash around, bringing fresh, cool air. Perhaps that is why the watershed protection forest and the vegetation surrounding this area are very green and extremely lush, making the entire landscape full of vitality.

According to the guide's explanation, the name Moss Waterfall is because there are many patches of green moss around the rocks clinging to the rocks at the foot of the waterfall. Along with the flow of time, each rock layer is covered in pure black. Through the erosion of the fast-flowing water, the undulating exposed rocks around the waterfall accidentally become a favorable location for tourists to rely on to save unforgettable moments beside the waterfall in the middle of the green forest.

Moss Waterfall is divided into 3 floors. There are large rocks between the floors where visitors can stop to rest, enjoy the surrounding scenery and have a snack to gain strength for the return journey. The waterfall is not too high, the floors are nearly 30 m high, and the water flow is abundant all year round. Surrounded by a carpet of primeval forest, when the wind blows in waves, it brings with it the whispering sounds of trees and grass mixed with the singing waterfall, creating a scene that is both poetic and extremely majestic. Day follows day, night follows night, the waterfall sings in harmony with the calls of birds, the sound of rustling trees inviting travelers from far away.

Moss Waterfall is one of the beautiful waterfalls of Kon Chu Rang Nature Reserve but is still "sleeping princess in the forest". Currently, there are not too many tourists coming here, mainly local people who love exploration and adventure tourism. But for that reason, the wild and natural landscape of the waterfall in particular and this area in general makes the beauty of the waterfall more attractive. And, if you are passionate about traveling and exploring, and like to immerse yourself in beautiful nature, Moss Waterfall is definitely a suitable choice.
