Kon Bong Waterfall (Three Floor Waterfall) is located in Dak Rong commune, K'Bang district, Gia Lai province and belongs to the management area of the famous Kon Ka Kinh National Park. The reason it is called Kon Bong Waterfall is because once upon a time there was a beautiful girl, white as cotton and extremely gentle. Every day, that girl came here to wash and comb her hair, so the people in the area named the waterfall Kon Bong. Besides, this place is also called Three-Storey Waterfall by the Ba Na ethnic people because the waterfall flows down three stone steps and looks like a soft white silk strip. Not as vertical as K50 Waterfall, Kon Bong Waterfall (Three-Storey Waterfall) is located in a giant basin, surrounded by steep cliffs and many ancient trees. The natural landscape of Kon Ka Kinh mountains and forests has contributed to creating the magical and mysterious appearance of this waterfall. The waterfall stands tall and proud in the middle of the jungle, making anyone think of a poetic and extremely magnificent landscape painting. Each layer of waterfall stacked on top of each other looks like flowing silk strips, the more you look at it, the more captivating you become. In the subconscious of local people, Kon Bong Waterfall (Three Floor Waterfall) is not only a place to soak and relax after working on the fields, but this place also contains many sacred things of creation. If you want to visit Kon Bong Waterfall (Three Floor Waterfall), you will have to trek through a forest trail about 4.5km long. Unlike trekking K50 Waterfall, this route does not have many steep slopes so it is quite easy to go. Along the way, you will see magnificent ancient trees that are hundreds of years old. Arriving at the beginning of Kon Bong village, you will immediately hear the roaring sound of the waterfall mixed with the chirping of birds like a spring symphony. When you reach the area with towering cliffs, you can stop, rest, relax and have a snack by the clear stream. After regaining your strength, you continue with the journey past countless large and small rocks to reach Kon Bong Waterfall (Three-Storey Waterfall). On the way to the waterfall, you will have the opportunity to explore Kon Ka Kinh National Park - One of five National Parks in Vietnam recognized as an ASEAN Heritage. In addition to the majestic natural scenery, this place also has a variety of rare flora and fauna species growing in the typical mixed broadleaf and coniferous forest ecosystem. The closer you get to the waterfall, the more dangerous and difficult the forest terrain becomes. However, you will be able to see an extremely rich hydrological system with a dense network of rivers, streams and rapids. After passing the trail, you will see Kon Bong Waterfall (Three-Storey Waterfall) appearing before your eyes with majestic and extremely poetic beauty. The height of the waterfall is up to 40m and the width is about 25m. The waterfall pours from above, creating white foam next to the rocks and then gently flowing down each step. The water flows from the upper levels to the lower levels and rushes into the rapids, looking like soft, white silk strips floating in the middle of the jungle. Not only can you enjoy the beautiful natural scenery, you can also soak, bathe in the stream and organize picnics and camping on the rocks right below the foot of the waterfall. If you patiently walk along the forest canopy and climb to the top of the waterfall, you will fully feel the wild and majestic beauty of this great place. From here, looking far away, you can see the small village with thatched roofs and stilt houses nestled in the vast fields. That is the residence of the Ba Na ethnic people, who have lived among the mountains and forests of K'Bang district for many generations. Kon Bong Waterfall (Three-Storey Waterfall) is always standing tall and proud among the vast green forests in Kon Ka Kinh National Park, waiting for human footprints to explore.
