There are many attractive tourist attractions in the Hoa Binh Lake tourist area. In addition to the vast water surface, beautiful landscape, and peaceful villages, there are also many large bays and small lakes. Local people call it Bay in the lake, or lake in the bay, depending on the location of each bay or lake. About 1km east of the Hoa Tien cave relic in Ngoi hamlet, Ngoi Hoa commune, Tan Lac district, Hoa Binh province, there is a large, clear lake that people in the area call Hoa Tien lake. It's a pity that the destination considered by many indigenous people to be the most beautiful in Hoa Binh is so little known. Many people say this place is like "Ha Long Bay on land", which is not wrong. Located 100km from Hanoi, Hoa Tien Lake in Ngoi Hoa Bay has a magical blue color all year round. Hoa Tien Lake is a blue mountain lake located in Ngoi Hoa village, Tan Lac district, Hoa Binh province. Indigenous people call this Hoa Tien lake, some travel agencies call it Dragon Eye lake. Although it is connected underground with Hoa Binh Lake and the lake's water level rises and falls along with Hoa Binh Lake, no matter how opaque Hoa Binh Lake is through the seasons, Hoa Tien Lake still maintains a jade green color all year round. To get to Hoa Tien Lake, you take a boat through Ngoi Hoa Bay, trekking for about 15 minutes in the forest. The lake is located inside the mountain like a volcanic lake, truly a "jewel of the mountain" surrounded on all sides by rocky mountains and old forests. People who come to Hoa Tien Lake often go back the same day, bring life jackets to SUP, swim, grill chicken... and return to their homestay in the village to rest. Ngoi Hoa Bay is a part of the Hoa Binh hydroelectric reservoir in Tan Lac district. This is also the largest artificial lake in Vietnam, formed when the Hoa Binh Hydroelectric Plant was built on the Da River. Ngoi Hoa Bay is covered by majestic limestone mountains, natural green forests and pristine, poetic Muong villages. Like other hydroelectric lakes such as Na Hang or Ta Dung, the mountain bay is surrounded by many high mountains, green islands and lush trees all year round, creating a charming landscape. Ngoi Hoa Bay is considered the most beautiful bay in this area. In the past, there was no Hoa Binh Lake here, it was a dense forest and flat beach. Yet since Hoa Binh Lake appeared, Ngoi Hoa suddenly transformed into a beautiful landscape. Because it was formed on a high mountain and surrounded by a large artificial lake creating a unique terrain, the surrounding village's climate is always cool, fresh and peaceful. One of the most ideal experiences at Ngoi Hoa is taking a scenic boat ride. You can ride a motorboat along the bay to see the large and small islands lying around. The water is green and very clean, so people can comfortably feel the cool steam from the lake. Usually I will choose to go to Hoa Tien Lake in the early afternoon, so that when I return, I can catch the sunset. While on the bay watching the red sun slowly set, sometimes I felt like I was going to the sea. Even though I've been to many places, I still like the feeling of standing on the bow of the boat sailing in the lake. The water is clean so I don't feel the fishy smell. In addition, people can visit Hoa Tien cave located nearby. The cave has a system of magically beautiful stalactites with many strange shapes, opening up a mysterious world like its name. From Hoa Tien cave, go about 1km to the East, you will come across a lake that is said to be where ancient mountain girls often came to bathe. This year, Ngoi Hoa village has been focused on tourism development by Hoa Binh province with the hope of becoming a beautiful destination not to be missed when exploring Hoa Binh. Around the bay, there are many villages where the Muong ethnic people live, and there are also many small homestays of the ethnic people where tourists can stay and learn about the local culture. People here mainly make a living by farming and growing fruit trees before the bay became widely known. While staying in the village, in addition to resting in a stilt house like the locals, we can also enjoy traditional delicacies such as bamboo-tube rice, wild chicken, sour bamboo shoots,... all homegrown. People can cultivate it. The activities of singing, playing the flute, traditional dances... are also the beauty of the Muong ethnic people in Ngoi Hoa. Hoa Tien Lake is like a "jewel of the mountain" surrounded and hidden in Ngoi Hoa Bay, making those who have the opportunity to admire it surprised by the beauty of nature. If you have the opportunity to travel to Hoa Binh, remember to visit this lake!
