Duom Temple is a temple worshiping Duong Tu Minh (Saint Duom) - a Tay general, son-in-law of the Ly Dynasty, who had many merits. The temple is located at the foot of Duom Mountain, Dong Dat commune, Phu Luong district, Thai Nguyen province, on National Highway 3, 25 km northwest of Thai Nguyen city. It is a complex of temples built by people and natural rocky mountains. (Duom Temple was built in 1180 under King Ly Cao Tong) Duom Temple Festival is held on the 6th day of the first lunar month every year. This is an important festival for the government and people of Phu Luong district as well as for neighboring administrative units. Duom Temple is a bright spot in tourism of the district and Thai Nguyen province, not only during Tet but also at other important times of the year.
