Hon Me Island was formerly called Vi Island. When standing on the high mountain of the western Nam Dong mountain range, looking out to sea, you see 18 islands arranged in the shape of the letter Vi (ancient Chinese). According to local people, the island cluster is also known as Thap Bat Ma Son (ie 18 Tuan Ma Sons) with a natural area of ​​about 450 hectares. Me island is not only covered with vast primeval forests with more than 400 species of plants and many types of animals residing.
