“It takes quite a long time for the apricot flower to bloom from the moment it blooms until it withers. Therefore, even though the flowers bloomed ten days before Tet, many people still like to have this special flower in their homes during Tet," Mr. Quan shared.

Mr. Nguyen Canh Dung (a gardener selling the best apricot trees on Lenin Avenue, Vinh City) said that this year, he imported about 200 apricot trees from Sa Pa to sell during Tet. According to Mr. Dung, most apricot trees have many shapes such as direct, horizontal, mystical, cascading, etc. The selling price depends on the age, shape, and size of the tree. The larger the root, the higher the price. “It takes at least 2 years to take care of an apricot tree until it becomes beautiful and marketable. There are trees that take up to 4-5 years to take shape," Mr. Dung said.
When blooming, the apricot tree has a pinkish white color, exuding purity but no less strength.
Nhat chi mai is more prominent with many red New Year cards and greetings hung by the gardener.
