Mai Son Expressway - National Highway 45 (through Ninh Binh - Thanh Hoa) with a length of 63.37 km is one of 11 component projects of the East North-South Expressway in the period 2017-2020, which has just opened to traffic on the occasion of April 30 - May 1.

The project goes through the territory of Yen Mo, Hoa Lu, Tam Diep city (Ninh Binh) and Ha Trung, Vinh Loc, Yen Dinh, Thieu Hoa, Dong Son, Trieu Son, Nong Cong, Thanh Hoa city ( Thanh Hoa).

Ninh Binh is famous for its immense pineapple fields, when in season, the fields appear with many beautiful colors, especially when viewed from above.

First point of Mai Son highway - National Highway 45 at Km274 + 111.86 at Mai Son intersection (coincident with the end point of the construction investment component project of Cao Bo - Mai Son section), in the territory of Yen Mo district (Ninh Binh).

The completion phase of the expressway is invested with a scale of 6 lanes, the roadbed is 32.25m wide, the design speed is 120km/h.

Previously, on May 13, the Vietnam Highway Administration said that it had just reported to the Ministry of Transport to study and evaluate an overview of the ability to increase the operating speed (maximum allowable speed) for highways. phased investment in 4 lanes with a lane width of 3.5m from the current 80 km/h to 90 km/h.

During this period, the Mai Son - National Highway 45 highway also did not have continuous emergency stop lanes in two areas. beside. Instead, emergency stop bays are arranged in each direction, each bay is about 4-5km apart.

Thung Thi tunnel area belongs to package 12 of the project, total investment capital is more than 1,340 billion VND from the budget. government. The package includes 5.7 km of road, 680 m of tunnel, starting point at Ha Tien commune, ending point at Ha Linh commune, Ha Trung district. As a permanent work, the tunnel consists of 2 tunnels, with the size of 3 motorized lanes each.

At the intersection with National Highway 217, this time the rice is ripe and golden, creating an eye-catching array of colors, attracting attention. of people sitting in cars.

In the photo, Vinh An bridge is located near the end of the project. The bridge has a length of nearly 476m, crossing the Ma River (connecting Vinh Loc and Yen Dinh districts). The construction value of the project in the package is about 220 billion VND. The bridge is designed to build a single unit with a width of 23.5m including 4 highway lanes with a median strip; there is a lane for people to live, the scale of 2 lanes is to serve the travel needs of people on both sides of the bridge.
