Da Trang Pass is located on Highway 6 connecting Mai Chau and Tan Lac districts of Hoa Binh province, near Thung Khe toad market, about 120km northwest of Hanoi capital. During the tourist season, before going to famous resort destinations in Mai Chau and Moc Chau, many tourists often stop by to take photos and admire the majestic beauty of White Stone Pass.

From the pass to Mai Chau is only less than 30km, the time to play and take photos on the pass is only about 1 hour, so choosing Da Trang pass as a stopover for a long trip is a reasonable choice. The name "White Rock Pass" originated many years ago, when people destroyed the mountain to create a national highway, in order to improve infrastructure conditions, serve social security, economic development, and tourism. of locality. People used cranes to cut down the mountain, revealing white patches of limestone. Looking from a distance, you can clearly see those white patches standing out among the deep green mountains and forests. To this day, these limestone patches still maintain the same color as when they were first discovered, despite experiencing many sun and rain. The white color is hidden under the fog, the sunlight shines through each layer of clouds, covering the layer of limestone powder, creating a majestic and impressive natural scene, making many visitors fascinated to see it.

Da Trang Pass is about 1,000m above sea level. Standing on the top of the pass, visitors can see far away and admire the endless mountains. Below the foot of the pass, the landscape of Mai Chau hills and mountains appears with a lush green valley, dotted with stilt roofs, ripe rice fields, winding streams... of the Buoi Cai community tourist area, commune Phu Cuong is located below the pass.

Many tourists often choose the period from May to July to go to Da Trang Pass, combined with visiting another tourist destination, Hoa Binh hydroelectric plant, during the flood discharge time. At the foot of the pass, due to the need to serve tourists, people opened a small market selling local products. The small market is located on a large edge of land, leaning a little towards the cliff with small shops with palm roofs and wooden tables and chairs. Dishes visitors can try here are bamboo-tube rice, grilled corn, boiled potatoes, grilled eggs, smoked wild boar, grilled pork with honey hook leaves,...

People also sell local products for tourists to bring home as gifts for relatives and friends such as: wild honey, mac Khen seeds, doi seeds, pickled bamboo shoots, purple sugar cane, chili peppers soaked in vinegar... Besides that , there are also precious medicinal herbs, wines that have been soaked in nutritious plants such as goji berries, polyscias fruticosa, bear bile..., and orchid roots that are up to ten years old.
