Da Trang Pass is located on Highway 6 connecting Mai Chau and Tan Lac districts of Hoa Binh province, near Thung Khe toad market, about 120km northwest of Hanoi capital. Da Trang Pass is about 1,000m above sea level. Standing on the top of the pass, visitors can see far away and admire the endless mountains. The small market is located on a large edge of land, leaning a little towards the cliff with small shops with palm roofs and wooden tables and chairs. Dishes visitors can try here are bamboo-tube rice, grilled corn, boiled potatoes, grilled eggs, smoked wild boar, grilled pork with honey hook leaves,...

People also sell local products for tourists to bring home as gifts for relatives and friends such as: wild honey, mac Khen seeds, doi seeds, pickled bamboo shoots, purple sugar cane, chili peppers soaked in vinegar... Besides that , there are also precious medicinal herbs, wines that have been soaked in nutritious plants such as goji berries, polyscias fruticosa, bear bile..., and orchid roots that are up to ten years old.
