Nghinh Phong Tower Square - the new symbol of Phu Yen tourism.

The Asian Urban Landscape Award (ATA for short) is an international award established in 2010 by the coordination of four organizations related to architecture, urban planning, and human settlement in the Asian region. Asia-Pacific.

Winning works and projects are evaluated according to 5 criteria: Environmental friendliness; sustainable safety; respect local culture and history; high artistic quality; contribute to the development of the region and serve as a model for other cities.

Nghinh Phong Tower Square was highly appreciated by the award's professional council for its community space that connects all people and the idea of ​​building a flexible project, adapting to harsh sea weather conditions.

This is an opportunity to recognize the efforts of cities in creating good living and working environments that encourage sustainable development and harmony with nature.

Up to now, there have been 166 projects in 122 urban areas of 16 countries participating in the nomination.

Vietnamese localities that have recently participated and won awards are: Can Tho Floating Market, Hoi An Ancient Town, Da Nang Urban Area, Hanoi Mural Street, Nguyen Tat Thanh-Tuyen Quang Square.

Nghinh Phong Tower Square is located at the intersection of Nguyen Huu Tho - Doc Lap street (Tuy Hoa city), Nghinh Phong tower has a particularly impressive design. Inspired by the local iconic rock rapids and the legend of "Hundred Eggs" of Lac Long Quan and Au Co, the tower consists of two parts.

The middle includes two high stone pillars, one 35m high stone pillar representing Lac Long Quan and the other 30m high stone pillar representing Au Co. At each foot of the tower are 50 stone blocks stacked on top of each other. The wall between the two stone pillars is decorated with reliefs of images of the land of "yellow flowers on green grass" Phu Yen.

At night, the tower is illuminated with 3D technology and high-intensity lasers, creating a multi-colored dance of light mixed with the sound of the sea breeze. This is where many major provincial and national events take place, and is considered a new symbol of Phu Yen tourism.
