Ban Gioc Waterfall Tourism Festival 2024

The festival takes place over 2 days, October 13 - 14, 2024, organized by the People's Committee of Trung Khanh district, Cao Bang province, as part of a series of investment, trade and tourism promotion activities of Cao Bang province in 2024. to promote the implementation of the Cao Bang Provincial Party Committee's key program on tourism development in the period 2016 - 2024.

The festival consists of two parts: the ceremony and the festival. In the morning of the first day, the food fair opened with booths introducing local specialties... In the afternoon, mass cultural activities, love songs and visiting a photo exhibition of homeland landscapes were held. . The second day took place the ceremony of offering incense to the pagoda, praying for peace in the country and people, expressing respect and gratitude to ancestors, heroic martyrs... at Phat Tich Truc Lam Ban Gioc Pagoda, organized by Trung Hoang. The Central Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha presides. In the afternoon, there was a painting competition about Ban Gioc waterfall by students of Trung Khanh district, then continued to organize cultural exchange activities, arts and sports activities.

During the festival, many activities take place such as photo exhibitions about the beautiful scenery and people of Chongqing's hometown; dragon dance performances, lion dances, love songs, sports competitions and folk games such as tug of war, shuttlecock tossing, stick pushing, blindfolded duck catching, chestnut peeling, weeding (a folk game). traditional time of local people)... The festival also includes cooking competitions with "rice trays for guests", painting competitions about Ban Gioc waterfall, international mountain bike racing, and kayaking on the stream. In particular, the festival also participates in cultural exchanges between Tinh Tay and Dai Tan districts of Guangxi province (China) with the theme of enhancing traditional friendly cooperation between localities of Cao Bang province ( Vietnam) and Guangxi province (China).
