The Ky Lua Cannon Festival has been held since the 17th century, associated with a historical legend showing the chivalry of a general of the Later Le Dynasty, Than Cong Tai, towards a Tran Dynasty mandarin, Tuan Tranh. Because they were impressed by the generosity of Mr. Than Cong Tai, who wrote a letter to the King to exonerate Mr. Tuan Tranh, every year the local people held a festival to welcome Mr. Tuan Tranh (from Ky Cung temple) to pay his respects. with Mr. Than Cong Tai (Ta Phu temple).

Ky Lua Firecracker Festival takes place with a rich scale, form and content. In addition to the palanquin procession, there are also games and performances such as lion dance, human chess, and love songs (sli, luon). ... especially the firecracker game to bring luck and happiness throughout the year.
