Lady May of the North - Tam Dao has always been peaceful
Located not far from Hanoi, just over 70km away, taking about 1 hour to drive on a pretty winding road, Tam Dao is a small, beautiful town with the coolest climate in the North.

Tam Dao National Park tourist area is located in Tam Dao district, Vinh Phuc province, 25km from Vinh Yen city (Vinh Phuc). Here, there was a peaceful small town in the past that was favored by nature for a cool year-round climate like a miniature Sapa/Da Lat of the North. Located at an altitude of 879km above sea level, Tam Dao possesses a cool year-round climate maintained at 18-20 degrees Celsius.
In one day, Tam Dao has all four seasons: Cold mornings with spring breezes, warm sunny afternoons like summer, romantic afternoons with autumn winds and a bit cold evenings of winter.

Tam Dao - back in the day, is no longer as deserted as before
After 10 years away, we had the opportunity to return to the peaceful small town of Tam Dao. The natural scenery is still as wonderful as nature has given it for many years. However, there seem to be many more high-rise buildings, and the town's appearance has also changed 9-10 times because of the busy, bustling space filled with tourists from all over, and the very "cool" cafes. chill" is intended to serve young people taking photos and posing.

Can be found anywhere in the town are cafes with colorful lights. The corners of the house are widened to the extent that they can reach the same mountain. From here, visitors can easily find wide viewing angles of the mountains and forests from above with ease, however these models quite challenge the courage of tourists who are afraid of heights.

Located in the center of the town are streets that do not have much space because of the system of convoys of cars parked on the street.
If you came here before, you could see beautiful gardens of wild flowers and rows of chayote - Tam Dao's most delicious vegetable that always covers the space with a lush green color. Now, There are many beautiful modern hotels and high-rise buildings that have sprung up to serve the tourism needs of tourists.

However, what's of history is still preserved, kept with care and special. Coming to Tam Dao today, tourists who love tranquility can still find quiet, sacred spaces for themselves when visiting relic complexes such as Tam Dao Church, Chan Suoi Temple, and Duc Thanh Temple. Tran, Ba Chua Thuong Ngan temple, Uncle Ho's memorial area... are all works that are always cared for and preserved by the people and local authorities.

Still retaining the beautiful natural scenery of the past, Thac Bac tourist area has white water flowing all year round, helping to cool the lush forests in all four seasons. Many delicious fruits such as chayote, jackfruit banana, and wild honey have become Tam Dao's specialties.

Coming to Tam Dao, visitors often visit the central square with many diverse community activities in the evening, to feel the joyful and bustling atmosphere among public spaces. With the efforts of the local government, Tam Dao always organizes activities to welcome visitors through art and cultural performances on the stage located at the Central Square.

On a special evening on the occasion of Independence Day (September 2, 2023), visitors to Tam Dao can enjoy a special music and dance program with many famous artists performing for free. This makes the atmosphere of Tam Dao become even more bustling, joyful and crowded.

Many young people and tourists also love the street food sold on the sidewalk. These are also Tam Dao's specialties: grilled meat, grilled fish, hot chestnuts, chestnut cakes, highland jams/dried fruits, many attractive drinks grown from local nurseries. Coming to Tam Dao today, there are many changes but also more positive, fresh, and bustling colors. This is also the inevitable development of beautiful scenic locations. However, I wish Tam Dao could "bloom larger" to have more beautiful natural spaces interspersed with rows of high-rise buildings and very narrow roads.
I wish... there would be more green spaces, airy roads, and more unique relic preservation works that could retain the wild, ancient, and peaceful features of the past for Tam Dao. . How can Tam Dao National Park still retain a treasure trove of precious resources with rare endemic vegetation, patches of primeval forest with many colorful flowers and animals living in the mountain and forest space, but can still meet the needs of tourists from all over.
