The Da Lat train was built from 1932 to 1938. At that time, the train station was part of the Thap Cham - Da Lat railway line, located on the east side of the city, about 7km from the city center. The train journey consisted of 1 locomotive, 4 passenger cars, and had a relatively slow speed, taking about 25 minutes to travel.

The train station layout is designed symmetrically, with the architectural block in the middle resembling the three peaks of Langbiang Mountain and the longhouse roof of the Central Highlands. On both sides are two elongated architectural blocks, creating harmony in the design. The center of the project has a spacious space and in front is a large clock recording the time when Dr. Alexandre Yersin discovered Da Lat.

The old carriages are designed and decorated with wooden interiors almost entirely, so the picture has a vintage feel, which is rare in many places.
To add more excitement and experience to your visit to Da Lat train station, you can experience a train ride from Da Lat to Trại Mát.
