The event was chaired by the Cinema Department, in coordination with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dien Bien province, Feature Film Joint Stock Company I, Central Documentary and Scientific Film Company Limited, and Military Cinema. Speaking at the opening of the Film Week, Deputy Director of the Cinema Department Nguyen Thi Thu Ha said: "Film Week is one of the practically meaningful activities to celebrate the 70th Anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory of the film industry. Through cinematic works to propagate and educate about historical, cultural and revolutionary traditions and promote patriotism, heroism, solidarity, pride and self-reliance, our people's self-reliance.
