Following the success of "Hue by light - The liveshow", on the evening of June 8, "Light Festival" was opened at the campus of Thai Binh Lau and Thieu Phuong garden - Citadel.
As one of the highlights at the Festival, this is an event introduced to visitors by the organizers of Festival 2024 with a journey of discovery with 12 sound and light installations in the heart of the Hue Citadel.
Attending were Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Binh; Counselor for Cooperation and Cultural Activities, Director of the French Institute in Hue, Ms. Sophie Maysonnave and a large number of the public and tourists.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Ms. Sophie Maysonnave expressed that the Festival of Light taking place within the framework of Hue Festival 2024 is the result of cooperation between the French and Vietnamese teams. The project will light up Thai Binh Lau for 2 weeks with visual and sound works created for the Hue Festival event.
Through the combination of technology and creative techniques, a journey that is both academic and interactive but always focuses on aesthetic elements, Thai Binh Lau and Thieu Phuong garden are illuminated and magical by the installation work, giving viewers the experience of being immersed in a magical universe while exploring sound and light.
One of the priorities of Thua Thien Hue province is to promote the development of the local tourism industry through promoting architectural heritage. This light festival took visitors on a trip to the heart of the Citadel, admiring traditional Hue lanterns lit synchronously or a series of beautiful ornamental trees displaying artificial roots as if they were lit on fire. , giant lotus flowers shine with countless colors on the lake surface... The technologies used are diversified depending on each specific installation, to best serve the visitor experience including the system smart grid through solar panels, traditional stage lighting systems, video projection systems (video mapping), controllable LED lighting systems (Artnet), infrared sensors, optical fibers or even Even the smoke generator is controlled. Technology is used to serve the viewer experience and is designed to be invisible to visitors.
The light festival takes place from June 8 to 22, with each journey lasting about 40 to 50 minutes in the evenings from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Visitors receive invitation tickets right at Hien Nhon gate to participate in the Festival of Light.
