But with the majesty of the Northwest region, there are many beautiful ripe rice viewing spots that tourists do not know about such as in Lung Tao village, Cao Bo commune, Vi Xuyen district, Ha Giang province.
Located about 35km from the center of Ha Giang city, Lung Tao village is a small village at the foot of Tay Con Linh mountain, with 100% Dao ethnic people living. Many good traditional values imbued with national cultural identity from language, costumes, and festivals are still being preserved by Lung Tao to this day, including traditional Vietnamese rice cultivation.
The Tay Con Linh range is like a vast love song embracing Cao Bo commune
The journey to the commune center was quite difficult, the journalist group of Journalist & Public Opinion Newspaper had to travel on different terrain. Following the small road around the hillside, we couldn't take our eyes off the amazingly beautiful terraced fields that appeared one after another, dyeing the whole area yellow.
The rice in Lung Tao is most beautiful at the end of September and the first half of October, when the rice grains are heavy and gradually turn yellow. With a view from above, you can see the fields look like shiny golden silk strips sunning themselves on the dreamy hillside, a beauty that many tourists compare to "like a fairyland" that makes anyone come here. I'm so fascinated that I don't want to go back.
The deeper you go into the Tay Con Linh range, the cooler the climate becomes, and the wild scenery here is so peaceful and simple.
Going deep into the Tay Con Linh range, the climate becomes cool, the wild scenery here is peaceful and simple. The harmonious combination between the natural scenery of the mountains and forests with the people of Lung Tao seems to urge tourists to put aside the hustle and bustle of life in the city and come here to live in the fresh air.
Nguyen Duong (from Ha Giang) who is working in Hanoi shared about his trip to Lung Tao: "This is the second time I have come to Cao Bo, but the first time I have gone deep into the commune like this. Lung Tao is almost the deepest village of Cao Bo commune, right at the foot of Tay Con Linh peak. When I saw the terraced fields here, I was really impressed as they were all large fields, towering on majestic hillsides. The road to get here is a bit difficult, but this is definitely a great experience for me."
Around the hillside are terraced fields appearing endlessly, dyeing the whole area golden, so stunningly beautiful that it's hard to take your eyes off.
Not only is there rice in Cao Bo commune, but this place also has many beautiful waterfalls. If the terraced fields are like a long stretch of yellow silk running across, then the waterfalls are like a strip of white silk running along the back of the hill. Both blend together to create a perfect picture for the landscape here.
Coming to Lung Tao, visitors can admire the ancient Shan Tuyet tea forests that are hundreds of years old, or see and pick precious Shan tea buds in the early morning with the villagers, which is what many people come to Cao Bang to do. Bo is very excited about a unique and separate land.
