The story tells about the time when the Ming invaders raged in our country, King Le Loi led an army to fight the enemy, then he was given a magic sword by the god turtle Kim Quy. After defeating the enemy, he ascended the throne and took the title of Le Thai To, moving the capital to Thang Long. During one of the king's walks on Luc Thuy lake, a turtle appeared to ask the king to return the precious sword. Since then, this lake has changed its name to Hoan Kiem Lake.
