Tran Quoc Pagoda

With a history of more than 1500 years, considered the oldest temple in Thang Long citadel, Tran Quoc Pagoda is known as the most sacred temple in Hanoi. As the oldest temple in Hanoi, built during the reign of Ly Nam De, Tran Quoc Pagoda was formerly known as Khai Quoc Pagoda, located next to the Red River.

Like many other temples in Vietnam, the structure and interior of Tran Quoc Pagoda are arranged according to strict Buddhist principles. Consisting of many layers of houses with three main houses: Tien Duong, incense burning house and upper hall connected to form the letter Cong.

At the temple, visitors not only worship Buddha and pray, but also look at the art space of harmonious nature, find their soul still among the ancient traces bearing the soul of the Vietnamese land for thousands of years.

The temple campus has a lotus-shaped stupa built in 1998, including 11 floors, 15 m high. There are statues of Amitabha Buddha with precious stones. The top of the tower is exalted with a nine-story lotus.
