Lang Co Bay has a length of 42.5 km, more than 60 km from Hue city and 20 km from Da Nang; is an almost pristine bay located at the foot of Hai Van Pass, with a flat beach, beautiful vast blue water and a very rich and diverse ecosystem. Looking out into the distance are vast tropical forests on undulating mountain ranges. Between the mountains and the sea is the vast Lap An lagoon spreading across the area, very attractive. This is one of the famous landscapes and tourist attractions of Thua Thien Hue province, considered a fairyland by King Khai Dinh.

Some people believe that the place name "Lang Co" came from the French who read the camp as "An Cu", which was a fishing village in the south of the lagoon. Some people also believe that in the past, there were many flocks of storks in Lang Co, so it was called Stork Village, then the locals re-named the camp as Lang Co.

Called Lang Co beach or Lang Co bay, both have their own characteristics, in the bay there is the sea. Nestled between the branch of the Truong Son range reaching out to the sea, on one side is Hai Van pass, on the other side is Phu Gia pass, Lang Co appears as a series of beautiful and long sand dunes. In the last days of autumn, Lang Co beach is immersed in mist. In the afternoon, flocks of white storks flock to the Lap An lagoon to sleep.

Lang Co Beach has long been a famous beach with the convergence of all the best things. The length of the coastline is nearly 10km, making visitors feel very small, the sea road runs deep to the end of the horizon.
