Magical black rock rapids at Ban Than, Hon Mang, Hon Dua

Nui Thanh District People's Committee will implement many activities to celebrate this event, such as water sports activities: men's basket swing; men's and women's basket swimming; Men's volleyball final at Bai Nom. In addition, Thuan An village (Tam Hai commune) will organize a fishing festival at Bai Bac and the fish cemetery in Thuan An village.

The People's Committee of Nui Thanh district also displays and exhibits photos about the land and people of Nui Thanh, as well as the field of socio-economic life. Special attention is paid to landscapes, historical relics, and festivals with unique local characteristics.

National scenic spots Ban Than, Hon Mang, Hon Dua mark the sparkling black rock rapids. Through the sediments of time, the rapids here have become strange and captivating like stone sculptures in the sky and sea.

According to geologists, the rocks in Ban Than, Hon Mang, Hon Dua are not volcanic rocks but original rocks up to 400 million years old. The rocks here were pushed out of the sea through geological tectonics.

These rock layers are folded with many inclined, curved or broken shapes, through which many unique and beautiful geological heritage exposures can be observed. With a unique value system of biodiversity and geology, the Ban Than, Hon Mang and Hon Dua areas are expected by Nui Thanh district to become a national geological park.
