Like a "jewel" in the heart of the wonder of Ha Long Bay, Ti Top Island with its unique crescent-shaped beach has become an ideal place to stop and escape the heat, attracting a large number of domestic and foreign tourists to visit each year.

Like a "jewel" in the heart of the wonder of Ha Long Bay, Ti Top Island with its unique crescent-shaped beach has become an ideal place to stop and escape the heat, attracting a large number of domestic and foreign tourists to visit each year.

Located about 160km from Hanoi city center, Ha Long Bay (Quang Ninh) is one of the most famous tourist destinations in the North. At any time of the year, this place always attracts a large number of tourists, especially foreign visitors to discover "one of the new seven natural wonders of the world".

On the journey to visit Ha Long Bay, in addition to popular destinations such as Ga Choi Islet, Dinh Huong Islet, Sung Sot Cave, Thien Cung Cave, etc., Ti Top Island is also chosen by many tourists as a place to stop and immerse themselves in experiences close to nature.

Located in the center of the bay, about 12 km from Tuan Chau cruise port and about 7-8 km from Bai Chay tourist area, Ti Top island is known as one of the most beautiful islands in Ha Long Bay. This island leans against Cua Luc Bay, in front is Sung Sot Cave with Bo Hon Island, on the right is Dam Nam Island.

Ti Top Island was named by Uncle Ho after the Russian cosmonaut German Titov, on the occasion of his visit to Ha Long Bay with him and stopped at this island in 1962. This is also the only island in Ha Long Bay with a statue - a statue of Russian cosmonaut German Titov.

Currently, in addition to using ships and boats to admire the island landscape, visitors can also choose another form of watching the beauty of Ti Top Island from above by seaplane.

Viewed from above, the island impresses visitors with its unique shape, like a "side-lying" position with a steep bank, an inclined shore with a stretch of white sandy beach, winding like a crescent moon, embracing the island's foot.

This beach has a small area but is quiet, airy and clean thanks to the frequent rising and falling tides, washing away dirt to keep the sand white and smooth throughout the four seasons. In particular, in the summer, this island becomes a favorite destination to escape the heat and "cool off" for a large number of local and foreign tourists.

Going to the island, in addition to bathing "cooling off", visitors can combine experiences with other equally attractive water games such as kayaking, water motor riding, ... or volleyball on the beach.

Kayaking is also a favorite experience on Titop Island. On a small boat, visitors can freely surf, wriggle through the surrounding caves, feel the natural beauty at the closest possible distance (Photo: Asaf Goren, Luong Van Ha)

Besides, climbing mountains, discovering rich flora or admiring the full view of the bay at different heights is also an outdoor activity that is loved by tourists when visiting Ti Top Island. After climbing the mountain and arriving at the observatory at the height of 100m, visitors can zoom in and see the vast and majestic bay.

From Ha Long, visitors can move to Ti Top Island in 3 ways. These are charter boats, boat tours and seaplane rides.

If you take a train, you cannot buy a single ticket but have to book a tour to the island, including a cruise on the bay with a boat-inclusive ticket price ranging from 500,000 - 700,000 VND/hour/boat.

With a boat tour and overnight on the bay, visitors can admire the beauty of Titop Island and Ha Long Bay from a new perspective, different from going by boat. Tour costs range from 1.5 to 2.8 million VND/person, depending on the type of yacht, length of stay and room type.

Many visitors commented that the beauty of the wonder of Ha Long Bay seemed to be raised to a new level with the experience of flying at an altitude of 300m by seaplane. This "flying boat" will land at Ti Top island for tourists to rest, visit or swim, climb mountains as they like. Each seaplane flight costs from 1.5 to 2.5 million VND/person/way, enough to give visitors "unique" experiences.

Each season, Ti Top Island brings its own beauty. Summer, white sand, golden sunshine, clear blue water, cool. This is a popular time for domestic tourists to visit and escape the heat. However, many international tourists love the quiet and wild look of Ti Top Island in the winter (Photo: Truong Bao Cong)

Because Ti Top Island is quite small, many tourist services have not been exploited yet, so tourists often visit this place for a few hours. In particular, boat tours often bring visitors to this island in the late afternoon so that they can take a bath to "cool off", enjoy the romantic and poetic sunset.
