Nearly 300 pink trumpet trees bloomed simultaneously on the road to the administrative area of Chau Thanh district, Soc Trang province. Every day hundreds of people from all over the Mekong Delta region come here to take photos.
Pink trumpet road in the West
From the end of February until now, the nearly 1 km road from National Highway 1 to Chau Thanh district administrative area (Soc Trang province) has been crowded with tourists checking in for pink trumpet flowers.
This is a woody tree, 3-15m tall, originating from the Americas. Pink trumpet flowers are shaped like a bell, with 5 lobes growing evenly at the top, pink in color, growing in clusters, each cluster has 4-7 flowers.
In previous years, pink trumpets bloomed in the middle of March, but this year the heat has been hot since the Lunar New Year of Giap Thin, so 282 pink trumpets on both sides of Hung Vuong Street, Chau Thanh town (Soc Trang) have been blooming for a week. before. Many flower petals were blown away by the wind and fell onto the road, creating a beautiful scene like in a movie.
Leaders of Chau Thanh District People's Committee said that the pink trumpet was planted in 2 batches by the locality with 282 roots. Of these, the first batch of 160 trees were more than 10 years old, the second batch was interplanted 4 years ago and have flowered since 2023.
Not only the people of Soc Trang but every day there are thousands of tourists from many provinces in the Mekong Delta region who come to the "pink trumpet town" to take souvenir photos and post them on social networks.
Many women responding to "Ao dai week" (from March 1-8) went to the pink trumpet road in Soc Trang to visit and take photos.
The most visitors and photographers here are young people. Many young people in the West want to save special moments at the beautiful pink lily street without having to go far.

From the existing pink trumpet road, Chau Thanh district has a plan to develop the locality into a tourist district, along with Ke Sach, Cu Lao Dung... of Soc Trang province.
