Fairy Waterfall: Beautiful wild beauty

Nang Tien Waterfall located in Na Cha village, Chieng Khoa commune, Van Ho district (Son La) is like a strip of white clouds flowing from the top of the mountain down to the depths, creating a layer of mist as hazy as clouds. Perhaps that's why the name Thac May was born.

Visitors to Nang Tien Waterfall will admire the three main waterfall levels, with "beautiful" beauty stretching about 1.5km of forest road. Each level of the waterfall is not far from each other, each level is a level of emotions and interesting experiences, where the beautiful scenery is likened to a Fairy, which is truly no exaggeration.

Nang Tien Waterfall is located in Na Cha village, Chieng Khoa commune, about 17 km from Van Ho town.

According to the tour guide, the best season to experience Nang Tien Waterfall is from March to May, the transition period from spring to summer. With occasional light rains, the waterfall's water will be jade green, blending with the green of the surrounding vegetation, creating a beautiful scene. This is the time when tourists check-in "virtual life" is the most beautiful of the year

The road to the waterfall goes through terraced fields.

Referring to the legend of Fairy Waterfall, visitors will hear the Thai story about two beautiful young women Kham Khe and Kham Kieu, whose parents were the first to migrate to reclaim land in Chieng Khoa. They named the new land Muong May because the climate was often foggy, and people from everywhere gradually came to establish villages to live. The two girls taught them how to farm, build houses, dance, play the flute.... People admired their virtue and beauty and honored them as fairies, called Nang Bang and Nang Muong.

Right at the waterfall gate, people placed an altar for Nang Bang and Nang Muong, the two ladies are worshiped and named the waterfall Nang Tien Waterfall.

When the two ladies passed away, the people built a temple in their remembrance. Every year during the blooming season, people come to burn incense, pray for peace, pray for health for the villagers, and pray for a peaceful harvest season.

Right at the first waterfall, visitors are told about the legend of Nang Tien Waterfall by the Na Cha village elder and tour guide.

The first waterfall has a low slope, forming a turquoise lake.

The second waterfall has a steeper slope, forming a large lake. This is an experience place for tourists to go rafting to admire the scenery and can bathe in cool water.

The third waterfall has a high slope, beautiful beauty, the waterfall is like a strip of white clouds flowing down from the top of the mountain.

The third waterfall is the ideal check-in location for tourists.

After visiting the waterfalls, visitors can rest, eat and drink in the stilt house and fully admire the "charming landscape" beauty here.

If tourists from far away stay overnight, Van Ho currently has many Homestays to experience living in harmony with the nature of the Northwest mountains and forests.
