Admire the longest river-crossing bridge in Vietnam from above

(VTC News) - Vinh Thinh Bridge opened to traffic in June 2014 with a total investment of 137 million USD, connecting Son Tay town (Hanoi city) with Vinh Thinh commune (Vinh Tuong district, Vinh Phuc).

The project has a total investment of 137 million USD, invested from the Korean ODA loan of 100 million USD and capital from foreign investors. from the Government of Vietnam USD 37 million. 

Vinh Thinh Bridge was officially inaugurated in June 2014.

This is a permanent reinforced concrete bridge across the river with the longest length in Vietnam ever with a length of 5.4 km (of which the bridge is the longest in Vietnam). 4.4 km and the road at both ends of the bridge is 1 km long). 

 Vinh Thinh Bridge is designed with a bridge deck width of 16.5 m, 4 lanes. The lanes are all 3.5 m wide and the speed is 80 km/h. The bridge connects 2 radial axes of National Highway 32 and National Highway 2, Noi Bai - Lao Cai expressway, forming a complete traffic system, connecting the center of the capital with the northwestern provinces. This is also a bridge connecting the chain of satellite towns and high-tech zones of Hanoi capital.

 The put into operation of the bridge contributes to reducing traffic pressure for National Highways 2, 3, 6, and 32 when traveling through the center of Hanoi to the southern provinces and vice versa.

The starting point of the project is at the QL32 intersection with the Son Tay bypass. The end point crosses the left dyke of the Red River about 200 m and connects to NH2C.

Since June 2014, the bridge has started to replace Vinh Thinh ferry which is the main traffic artery connecting Son Tay (Hanoi) and Vinh Tuong (Hanoi) and Vinh Tuong (Hanoi). Vinh Phuc).

Vehicles easily circulate from Son Tay town (Hanoi) towards Vinh Tuong (Vinh Phuc) and vice versa.
