According to historical records: Ancient Nghia Do was a large valley with rich forest land, surrounded by streams, creating a peaceful landscape. In the late 18th and early 19th centuries, this place was called "Muong Khuong", later renamed "Muong Nghia Do" associated with the formation of Nghia Do temple on July 14, Canh Tuat year, year of Tu.
