Tien Chau Pagoda is located on Tien beach, on the left bank of Co Chien river, in An Binh island (the custom name is Tang island). In the past, this place belonged to Binh Luong and An Thanh villages (now Binh Luong hamlet, An Binh commune [4]), Long Ho district, Vinh Long province. Although the temple is located not far from Vinh Long citadel (only the Co Chien river), but here the atmosphere is quiet, the trees are lush, and the houses are sparse. According to legend, on cool, windy moonlit nights, sometimes fairies come down to the ceiling to bathe and play. Therefore, this riverbank is named Tien beach (Tien Chau) or Bich Tran beach. In addition, because this land has many small canals, boats can pass easily, so it is also called Bat Tan beach (meaning four directions and eight directions).
