Ong Dia Temple Assembly

Ong Dia Temple was built in the early 19th century and was ordained by King Tu Duc in 1852. Every year, the festival takes place on the 2nd day of the second lunar month, which is the day of Phuc Duc Chinh Than.

This is a typical festival for temple festivals in Ho Chi Minh City and the South with the following rituals: "opening the page with drums" announcing the ceremony, "inviting betel" by singing the free ball to invite the gods to attend the ceremony. ceremony, performing the comedy "Dia Nang" with the characters of Mr. Dia and the fairy with the content of criticizing the bad habits in the ancient village society.

Then there is a dance performance of gold tray, silver tray and toy dance performed by folk artists. The end of the festival is a ceremony of fortune.

Hoi An people mostly worship Mr. Dia at home.
