On April 7, 2018, the Bat Xat district government officially replaced a new stainless steel peak and named the peak Ky Quan San, officially returning the name to this peak. Since then, the name Bach Moc Luong Tu no longer exists. However, among mountain climbing enthusiasts, the name Bach Moc Luong Tu is still rumored as a memory of memorable conquering journeys.
According to experienced trekkers, the best time to explore Ky Quan San is from mid-September to April of the following year, at this time the northern provinces of our country enter the dry season, the weather is cool, it rarely rains. This is also a very beautiful winter time and perfect for climbing. Light golden sunshine, quite blue sky, layers of silver light, making you feel like you are lost on cloud 9. If tourists want to "hunt" for the sea of floating clouds, this is a great opportunity for you!
Another special point is that from December to January, Ky Quan San also has a "specialty" of snow. If you have not yet seen snow fall or touched cold snow, this will be the ideal time to experience the above things.
Trekking Ky Quan San has two main directions: from Lao Cai and Lai Chau. Lao Cai will be affected by the Northeast wind from China, while Lai Chau will be influenced by the Southwest wind from Laos. Because, the two sides of Hoang Lien Son range are influenced by two different climate currents.

Mr. Ngoc Duc, a tour guide, noted that: "The road to Ky Quan San is not easy, visitors have to cross many corn fields and buffalo pastures of the local Mong people, so it is difficult for you to get caught."
