About 60km from Lai Chau town to the west along Highway 4D, Sin Ho is a highland district in the middle of Lai Chau province, with the district capital being Sin Ho town. Sin Ho district has 56,000 residents including 15 ethnic groups living together on an area of ​​1,746km². Geographically, North Sin Ho borders Yunnan (China), the East borders Phong Tho district, the South borders Tua Chua district (Dien Bien) and the West borders Muong Te district.
