Pu Luong Nature Reserve was established in 1999, with an area of ​​17,662 hectares, including 13,320 hectares of strict protection zone and 4,343 hectares of ecological restoration zone. Pu Luong is the name of the Thai ethnic group, which means the highest mountain in the region. Pu Luong is evaluated as a nature reserve with scientific, socio-economic and eco-tourism values.
