Masjid Jamiul Azhar Mosque is located in Chau Phong commune, Tan Chau town, An Giang province, built in 1959, until 2012, the mosque was restored and expanded again, and is now complete. and officially inaugurated on August 3, 2014. Visiting Masjid Jamiul Azhar, the first thing that catches your eye is a cemetery with rows of simple stone steles engraved with the names of the deceased right in front of the entrance gate, creating a mysterious but also attractive scene. The highlight is the high, wide domes of Islamic architecture. On the roads through that small village, you can easily see indigenous people wearing traditional costumes in daily activities, men wearing sarongs, women wearing abaja and hijab. For Muslims, there are five ritual times a day: Before sunrise, before noon, late afternoon, evening and before going to bed. It is a unique cultural feature of the Cham people, where they preserve traditions from ancient times until now. The way to this mosque is quite easy, you move to Chau Giang ferry terminal. Cross the ferry, turn right and go about 1km further to reach the Jamiul Azhar Mosque.
