About 15 km from Binh Lieu town, Khe Van waterfall in Huc Dong commune is considered the largest waterfall in Quang Ninh province. Khe Van is the name the local San Chi people gave to the waterfall, with the meaning "Van" meaning "smoke", Khe Van meaning "smoky stream".
The reason why local people gave the waterfall such a name is because the waterfall is nearly 100 meters high. Looking down from the top, the water flows down strongly, creating white bubbles that look like smoke. That poetic image blends into the lush, green mountains and forests, bringing a cool, fresh atmosphere, completely different from the bustling and smoky city.

Khe Van Waterfall is divided into 3 distinct layers, each layer has a different shape and beauty. Looking at the first level of the waterfall, visitors will be overwhelmed by the vast and majestic space. Water streams flow down from high cliffs to form a large lake. The lake water here is blue and clear, mixed with white foam, on both sides of the cliffs are countless plants and flowers, all creating a magical and poetic scene. On the second level of the waterfall, visitors will see the water stream divided into two, one small side, the other impressively large, often called the small waterfall, the big waterfall. Here, you can also see Cao Xiem mountain - the highest mountain in Binh Lieu, along with the vast, immense fields and distant villages at the foot of the mountain.

In 2011, Khe Van waterfall was ranked as a provincial-level scenic relic of Quang Ninh province.
