Located on Provincial Road 206 on the way to explore Nguom Ngao cave, Khuoi Ky stone village is a traditional village of the Tay people in Dam Thuy commune, Trung Khanh district (Cao Bang). Along with Ban Gioc waterfall, Nguom Ngao cave, Khuoi Ky stone village is one of the unique cultural tourist destinations in the remote region.

Khuoi Ky stone village is more than 400 years old, formed when the Mac dynasty fled to Cao Bang and remained here until it was destroyed around 1594-1677. When the Mac dynasty went to Cao Bang to build defensive structures, stone houses were built like "fortresses". Not only military in nature, each house has unique architectural features. , very unique, tinged with legend and antiquity.
Through history, up to now the stone stilt houses in Khuoi Ky still retain their pristine beauty, creating an ancient look for the border village.
The village has 14 Tay ethnic households living, its back is firmly against the mountain on an area of about 10,000 m². In front of the village is the peaceful Khuoi Ky stream. The stilt house for the Tay people in Trung Khanh is a sacred place that preserves the characteristics of traditional material and spiritual life over many generations. Especially in the mind of the Tay people, stone is considered a close and important material. Stone is used a lot in the daily life of the Tay ethnic people. The walls of the house are built of stone, the foundation of the house is made of crushed stone, and the foot of the foundation is also made of stone. Houses here may have 1 or more floors inside with floors covered with wooden planks. The roof is covered with yin and yang tiles, giving it an ancient and unique appearance. The house can be divided into many rooms with walls made from panels woven from bamboo and vat trees.
