Si Ma Cai is considered the oldest land in Lao Cai, with many ethnic minorities living, the largest being the H'Mong ethnic group, in villages on towering mountains and along the banks of the majestic Chay River. .
In recent years, the people have focused on strongly developing eco-tourism, preserving indigenous culture, attracting domestic and foreign tourists, especially during the holidays, Tet and National Day September 2.
