Nhiu Co San can be considered as an advanced level of Lao Than as this mountain has a relatively large and continuous slope, plus quite slippery terrain and few flat sections, this is a difficult challenge for athletes. The tourist has never climbed a mountain before.

However, because the distance is not too long - about 19km, the difficulty is average compared to neighboring peaks such as Ky Quan San or Putaleng.

Visitors can go up from the Ong Chua waterfall down to the goat field (a spacious, airy grass hill halfway up the mountain, indigenous people often release goats here) or vice versa depending on the weather. However, on hot days, visitors should avoid climbing the goat beach because it will be easier to lose strength.

How to get to Nhiu Co San?

To get to Nhiu Co San, visitors need to travel from Lao Cai or Sapa to Den Sang junction (motorbike or rent a car). Here, tourists rent motorbike taxis to take them to the climbing point at Nhiu Co San village (foot of the mountain), which is also a famous tourist village with beautiful peach blossoms in the spring.

Although the road to the village is only about 7km, the terrain is very dangerous, only for hard drivers, so tourists are not encouraged to drive their own motorbikes. Instead, they can take a motorbike taxi with a reference price of about 150,000 VND/way. .

Reference itinerary to conquer Nhiu Co San

Visitors can start climbing at the village at 10:20, around 12:00 reach Ong Chua waterfall, have lunch and take photos here. Then, at 1:00 p.m., continue climbing, and at 4:20 p.m., we arrive at the shack, in time to catch the sunset and nightfall.
