1. INFORMATION ABOUT ONE COLLECTION 

One Pillar Pagoda or Mat Pagoda, also known as Dien Huu Tu, is a pagoda located in the heart of the capital  Hanoi with a unique architecture with a lotus in the middle. Built during the reign of Emperor Thai Tong. Since its construction until now, the temple has been preserved and undergone many major restorations, the biggest one being the one in 1954 when it was blown up by the French.

The pagoda has a square shape of 3m each, curved roof erected on a cylindrical stone pillar 4m high, with a diameter of 1.2m. The stone pillar consists of 2 blocks, very well mounted. 

The original structure of the One Pillar Pagoda is supported by wooden beams that firmly cling to the stone pillars. The structure of the current One Pillar Pagoda includes: Pillars, Lien Hoa station, pagoda roof.

The special thing is that the whole temple is placed on a stone pillar. The upper part of the pillar has 8 wooden wings that look like a blooming lotus. The roof of the pagoda has a fiery moon face, the dragon's head is facing the moon.

One Pillar Pagoda is one of the beautiful touristplaces in Hanoi, always attracting a large number of tourists to visit every day. The pagoda was built by King Ly on the land of Thanh Bao village, Quang Duc district, west of the ancient Thang Long citadel. Currently, the pagoda is located on One Pillar Pagoda Street, right next to the complex of Ba Dinh Square - Presidential Mausoleum in the center of Ba Dinh District, Hanoi.

You can visit One Pillar Pagoda during the hours from 7:00 am to 18:00 pm. In which, the time to visit is from 1-3 hours. On the 1st or full moon day, this place also organizes Buddhist worshiping ceremonies and people will come to offer incense. 

5. TICKET TICKET TICKETS FOR ONE Column 

When visiting and making pilgrimages, One Pillar Pagoda is 100% free of charge for domestic tourists - Vietnamese citizens. For foreign tourists, the applicable fee will be 25,000 VND/person. 

6. WHAT'S SPECIAL TO FIRE ONE Column? 

One Pillar Pagoda is actually an architectural complex consisting of different small works interspersed in the temple's premises. 

Lien Hoa Dai: This is the very unique main highlight representing the entire population which is Lien Hoa Dai. The temple has an area of ​​​​3x3m, built on a stone pillar placed in the center of a lotus pond like the image of a lotus flower budding on the lake. 

Tam Quan Gate: When you arrive at One Pillar Pagoda, the first place you will come to is Tam Quan Gate. In fact, this is an expansion work built in recent years to serve worship during the full moon and Tet holidays. 

Bodhi tree has special meaning: The Bodhi tree in the temple's premises is a special gift given by the President of India to President Ho Chi Minh himself during a visit to the country. 

Steps to the main hall: To get to the main hall of Lien Hoa Dai, you will step through 13 steps with a width of 1.4m. The stairs were built a long time ago and still retain the ancient look of the architectural style of the Ly Dynasty. 

Altar of Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva: The altar is placed in the center of the Lotus Station. The statue of Quan Am Buddha is painted with gilded vermilion, placed on a wooden lotus, surrounded by worshiping objects placed in the middle of the altar. 

When visiting the temple, you should pay attention to dress politely and respect the standard regulations of the sanctuary.
