Diep Son is the name of an island village in Van Gia town, Van Ninh district, Khanh Hoa province, about 60km north of Nha Trang city. This is also the common name of three islands Hon Bip, Hon O and Hon Crow located in Van Phong Bay.

What makes visitors excited when coming here is discovering the walking path in the middle of the sea that is said to be unique in Vietnam. The white sand strip is about 400m long, about 1m wide, connecting Hon O and Hon Qu, located in the middle of the clear blue sea.

The road is formed at the intersection between the waves of the sea and is continuously built up day by day. However, the road does not always rise above sea level but depends on sea level.

When the sea water drops, the white strip of land connecting the two islands gradually reveals itself to form a winding sandy road under the clear blue sea. Walking on the road in the middle of the sea brings a feeling of great joy when the small waves gently touch your feet, mixed with excitement and a little fear when you have to step in the middle of the vast ocean.

Trinh Minh Dai Anh, a tourism operator in Diep Son, shared that Hon O used to be a uninhabited island. At that time, Diep Son only accepted visitors and experienced during the day. Since Hon O was put into operation, the island also accepts overnight guests to experience the life of a real fisherman and fully enjoy the beauty of nature here.

"This unspoiled island is like a 'muse' that has been asleep for many years and has only been awakened by the popularity of the walking path in the middle of the sea," Dai Anh said.

Mr. Dai Anh added that since 2016, he and his wife have asked the local government for permission to exploit tourism in this island by building leaf huts and running canoes to bring tourists out to visit and experience.

Despite exploiting tourism for many years, Dai Anh and his wife still try to retain the most pristine features of the island when saying no to encroaching on the island's primary forest, cleaning garbage and maintaining hygiene daily to return the beauty. inherent nature of Diep Son, preserving coral reefs from catching fish by raking to protect the environment and marine ecosystem...

After checking-in the walking path in the middle of the sea at Hon O, visitors can also paddle SUP, snorkel or rent a boat, or canoe to explore the surrounding small islands. In addition, if you stay overnight on the island, visitors also have the opportunity to experience fishermen's activities such as squid fishing, fishing or catching crabs, snails...
