Conquer the beautiful 'Dinosaur's Back' in Binh Lieu.
Located in the Northeast of Quang Ninh, bordering China, Binh Lieu district has an average altitude of 500-800 m above sea level. As a border province, Binh Lieu has many landmarks, the most famous of which are 4 landmarks: 1300, 1302, 1305 and 1327. These landmarks are scattered along the border patrol route and are sacred destination of the Vietnamese people.
Binh Lieu district has a border more than 40 km long, so border markers are also a "specialty" of this land. Most of the landmarks are located on the unique border road called "Southern Country" 700 meters above sea level, winding on green hills.
Among the milestones here, the journey to conquer milestone 1305 is the most attractive. Because to get to milestone 1305, people have to cross the trail between mountain peaks that backpackers label "dinosaur spine". Many tourists also liken this "dinosaur spine" to the "Great Wall" of Vietnam.
With a length of nearly 2 km, the "dinosaur spine" is located at an altitude of more than 800 m above sea level, making the path extremely difficult. Both sides are deep abysses, with only a small, quite tricky road located at the highest position to move around.
Those who want to conquer milestone 1305 (this is the highest mountain peak in the Binh Lieu Linh range) need to prepare mentally and physically to walk through the cement steps in the middle of the mountain.
The fastest time to climb and rest is about 2 to 3 hours (if the weather is favorable).
Previously, the road to the top was completely made of dirt and had only a row of chains connecting iron pillars together, serving border guards to patrol and guard.
Later, when the landmarks became tourist attractions, the trail was invested in building a staircase with a length of more than 2,000 steps.
Coming here, visitors will be impressed and surprised by the magical beauty that appears before their eyes, a vast green of trees, majestic mountains and forests, creating a strangely peaceful space.
