A rich ancient village with a unique complex of historical and cultural relics that still retains the ancient features of Vietnamese villages. Previously, people in the village were professionals selling junk. People here buy scrap metal and resell it to local bronze foundries and surrounding areas. Thanks to compassion, hard work, and creativity in doing business, Nom Village has become increasingly prosperous, creating conditions for cultural activities to develop.

Visitors to Nom Village will admire the Village Gate. This is one of the historical evidences of the two resistance wars of the Vietnamese people. Elderly people in the village said that the village gate is more than 200 years old. Due to the devastation of the war, the village gate has now been degraded but still retains many sophisticated motifs. The gate arch has the words: Dong Cau Nom.

Stepping through the majestic village gate, a nostalgic, ink painting immediately appears, making visitors from far and wide surprised. The beauty of Nom village is rustic, peaceful, and somewhat sad. The large common pond running in the middle of the village is a gathering place for old people and children during the summer days. The water in the pond is always clear and calm like a giant mirror.

In Nom village, there are still three ancient wells that are thousands of years old and are considered valuable assets of the villagers. Wells are scattered throughout the village, one is located right near the gate of the Dai Dong communal house, one is located along the road next to the stone bridge and one is hidden under the canopy of an old tree in Nom Pagoda. Inside the well are rows of bricks stacked on top of each other under the neck of the well, the walls of the well are also monolithic ancient stone slabs and the mouth of the well has a lid. The walls of the well are also made of ancient stone slabs.

In Nom village, space and time both seem to be calming down. Houses with ancient architecture, ancient trees, and towering areca trees gently cast shadows on the clear green village pond. The pace of life of the people is also peaceful and slow like a gently moving stream of water.

Nom market holds 12 sessions a month on days ending in numbers 1, 4, 6, and 9. In the past, the Nom market was one of the places that regulated the pace of life of the whole village with its famous copper craft. Unlike the market in the city, the Nom market is held inside brick houses without plaster. The red brick color, broken over time, is like something very nostalgic and old.

The long-standing traditional cultural values that are still preserved in Nom village are the pride of not only the Hung Yen people. The village is becoming an attractive nostalgic destination, a place to explore the history and culture of Vietnamese people.
